Ponniyin Selvan Box Office Collection: Closes to Rs 500 cr worldwide Reportedly the latest worldwide box office

The film broke stone at the box office by becoming the first Kollywood film to gross over Rs 200 crore in Tamil Nadu.

The AR Rahman music is said to have been adapted from Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel of the same name,
