Being a engg. searched a lot and found this one complete combination of Look and efficiency.
– look is very good with comparison to other fans under 2K.
– power consumption is just 70 W for 380 RPM, which is quite lower than fan price range up to 2.5K.
– fan assembly is very simple. did it by myself.

Thought luminous is good company so ordered this fan .. initial days it was pretty good and running fast .
Most interesting thing is you will not see any issue with in the return period.
Now my return period is over and with full capacity also it’s not able run – speed reduced by 50 percentage just in 10-12 days. I think seller provided a repaired one since we all know luminous is good company.
Feeling cheated I think Amazon should raise strict guidelines

I purchased Luminous Dhoom 1200 mm Ceiling White Fan on October 2 and delivered on October 10. Exactly after a week I had logged a call for strange noise coming from the fan motor. It was attended by Luminous service centre technician after I registered a complaint at Luminous customer care. In all 3 complaints were registered and were attended by service centre technician however the problem still persisted. Since the 3rd complaint was closed I am just chasing the service centre and Luminous customer care guys for fan still having same issue. Finally I knocked doors of the regional head or sdm or whatever where he diverted me to service centre manager. He said he has done his part and it is pending action from Luminous company. I am chasing the sdm but he don’t pick my calls and service centre is helpless. Useless and annoying service by Luminous.

I have purchase 4 fan of diff. Company 1).Luminous dhoom 1200mm
2) cromton sea wind 48 inch
3) Polycab designer High speed
4). V guard glado 1200 mm .
As all fan are working well with no noise,,
* Luminous fan in white colour is really high speed fan and also atractive with golden ring ,it is sufficient for bedroom or small hall for better air. ,outer packing from Amazon is good but internal packing not getting original fan pacaking of luminous also not get original warranty card of luminous but got e-warranty on Amazon acccount , for fan 10/10,.(price 1700/-)
*V guard glado is another beautifully paint with shine , 400 rpm, quality is superb . Finishing is beutiful , it is also 10/10 (Price 1750/- with discount & 3 year warranty)
* Polycab Fan : I have not install Polycab but find with superb quality by inspection 10/10. My friend suggest me for this fan as he is using. Price(1650/-)
* Cromton fan : it is low price (1150/-),simple white , u have install it in kitchen but speed is good 9/10, only the wiser for packing between rotor body and fan blade is cheap.
All depends upon how much u r paying but now only 7-10 days i am reviewing,,not know in future about fan and service but may be no problem in future

Ordered 3 fans totally. After 3 to 4 days 2 out of 3 fans started making a wierd noise. Upon calling the electrician, he confirmed that the noise is coming from any electrical conponent of the fan. The noise is not always, it comes on its own at different fan speeds and goes off on its own. Disapppointing experience with luminous!!

Completely useless product makes lot of noise this is my replacement product even this they sent that product which is completely defective. It’s a high speed ceiling fan as they hv advertised but fan is good at low speed till 4th step in regulator but when it starts or it is put at 5th step makes weird knocking or tick tick sound. Completely unbearable at time as we wanted a good ceiling fan for our bedroom. But this is awfully no tested product. That’s why returning to get refund in full. This have around 1600 reviews I think the most among budget fan. Looks like this have negative reviews most among those 1600.
